Living in Treetop

Treetop is a residential subdivision recorded in Walton County's Plat Book 16, Page 64, carrying seventy-nine platted lots between Redbud Lane, Silver Maple Drive and Sweet Gum Loop in Inlet Beach. The parcel that carries a house at the Lot 41 and 42 address is legally described, on both the county roll and the state cadastral, as covering a portion of Lots 41 and 42 together, while Lot 42 also stands as its own separate, vacant parcel on both rolls, held by the same owner as the house beside it. The same plat carries its greenway easements as a separate common parcel rather than folding them into any house lot. County tax records list that parcel's owner as Treetop Residential Owners, and its size, about 48 acres, is confirmed independently by both the county's own parcel records and the state's separate property cadastral. Every one of the seventy-nine numbered lots itself carries a residential or vacant classification on both rolls, so no lot inside Treetop is recorded for commercial use.

Construction on the recorded lots spans 2008 to 2024. Thirty-six of the seventy-nine platted lots carry no year-built value on the state's current property roll, and of the forty-three lots that do, about three in four were finished since 2020, so the subdivision reads as a plat still filling in rather than a finished street. Completed houses range from 1,600 to just over 4,100 square feet of heated area, on recorded lots that themselves run from about 2,000 to more than 19,000 square feet, a spread wide enough that lot size alone says little about what a given address will cost.
