Pilot House is a building, and the condominium it belongs to is called something else. No legal description in this part of Walton County contains the words Pilot House at all; the parcels standing at 9100, 9200 and 9300 Baytowne Wharf Boulevard belong to the Gateway condominium. Counted off the recorded parcel-ID series rather than off the legal description, that regime runs to 199 parcels, each one mapped individually by the statewide cadastral and no two sharing an outline: 197 residences, the association's common area, and a mixed use parcel the resort's corporate owner holds inside the regime. The mixed use parcel is recorded under its own unit letters instead of under the regime's name, so a search on the legal description stops at 198 and never meets it. It is not a residence and is not on offer to a residential buyer, and neither is the conference center parcel the resort's hotel company holds nearby under the Market Street Inn address. Florida's corporate register agrees from the opposite direction. The only active corporation named Pilot House Condominium Association, Inc. was chartered in 1977 and reports a Fort Lauderdale address, while the body governing this ground is Gateway at Baytowne Wharf Condominium Association, Inc., which gives 9300 Baytowne Wharf Boulevard as its own principal address. The master association's August 2026 roster does not give Pilot House a line of its own either. The nearest named water is Horseshoe Bayou, about 480 feet off, not the open bay. Flood is the quiet advantage here: read across the interior of every parcel rather than at a single point, not one of the 197 residences has any ground in a special flood hazard area. The only place in the regime that does is a strip along one edge of the association's common area parcel, mapped Zone AE at a base flood elevation of 7 feet.
